Art or Propaganda?

Ever wondered how the now classic Obama "HOPE" poster came about? Look no further. The controversial street artist Shepard Fairey has created some of the most iconic, pop-culture relevant images of our time. He created the original "HOPE" and "PROGRESS" posters on his own and was later contacted by the Obama camp who wanted to use them. BTW Fairey donates most of the money he gets from selling Obama-related art directly to the campaign. Check out the great Current video above and read this article on Rene Wanners Poster Page, don't miss all the other posters inspired by Fairey's original. Also, just came across "Vote for Hope", a music video written by M.C. Yogi and produced by Robin Livingston. Chief animator James Curtis is using designs and direction from M.C. Yogi and clearly inspired by Fairey. Video funded and supported by grassroots donations.
