Formed by Yale School of Music graduates David Hindman and Evan Drummond, this forward-thinking ensemble has developed technology that allows classical-electric guitars to control the characters in console video games. Modal Kombat lies at the intersection between music, visual arts, and digital media. Sure, it's a bit gimmicky, but it actually sounds a bit like composed music! Maybe you shouldn't be mocking the kids for playing Guitar Hero after all.
